28th Annual Southern Nationals
Today starts qualifying at the NHRA/Summit Racing Equipment Southern Nationals. There are 68 entries on the Stock Eliminator roster. Even if there are a few no-shows this always shapes up to be a tough race to win, with the best talent on the east coast competing.

Southeast Divison Jegs Allstars
The South Georgia Motorsports Park Divisional will determine the Jegs Allstar Stock Division 2 representative for 2008. It appears that Brenda Grubbs has a lock on that honor. Shelby Cohen and Chris Puzycki have a mathematical chance but Brenda would have to lose in the first round and one of them would have to advance to at least runner-up.
Anything can happen and we have three really good drivers battling it out. BEST OF LUCK TO ALL OF YOU !!!

Is it just me ?
What is the general concensus of what NHRA has done with the Fuel Injection classes that were thought to have distinct advantages over the early muscle cars a few years back. I don't hear complaints about that.
Upper class stockers
Does everyone agree that the upper class stockers have become increasingly popular. More of the "professional sportsman" (I hate that oxymoron) stock eliminator drivers have made the switch.
Do you think that diminishes the chances of the lower classes ?

New Corvette Stocker
Today I added a picture of the new car being finished at Jimmy Parker Race Cars. This car will be driven by Woodro Josey. As with all the cars Jimmy builds this one is sure to be a real winner.

Welcome to my blog
I created this blog to give NHRA stock eliminator racers another means of expressing ideas and opinions other than the traditional message boards now being used.
Hope everyone that wishes to will use it.
